Putting The Pieces Together: Happy National Puzzle Day!

Got it!

It’s no surprise that I like puzzle games. So when I realized such a day as National Puzzle day existed (yes, folks there is a day for everything and we are blogging about them all!) I was ready to celebrate the proper way.  How? By playing as many free online games as possible, obviously.  Lucky for me I work for Addictinggames.com, the source for free online games, and a great place to find free online puzzle games!

Fitting Pieces – Rotate the pieces to fit in the square.  It starts off easy but doesn’t stay that way for long and this game is addicting!

Picma Pictures – Fill in the corresponding colors in the right square and make a pretty picture! This free online games is just good clean fun, give it a try!! You’ll be glad you did.

Mahjongg – You can never go wrong with classic puzzle games, especially Japanese Taipai.  Match the tiles to remove them all.

Whizz Words – Boggle meets Yatzee! Spell as many different words as you can with your letters  as the clock winds down and after each round choose what category your points will go in. Keep going until you have completed all the categories.

Starlines – This game combines two of my favorite things, stars and match-3!! Slide the stars back and forth and up and down to match three and boom, exploding stars.

Bloxorz – Square peg in a round hole. Use your arrow keys to get the rectangle to fall down the square hole to pass the level but don’t fall off the side, or else you start from square one, literally.

Daily Jigsaw – If anyone knows puzzle games it’s our friends at Shockwave.com!  Try the Daily Jigsaw today and I dare you not to come back tomorrow!

Dots – Dots, dots and more dots! Take turns with the computer connecting the dots, make a square and keep going until you can’t make anymore. Whoever fills in the most squares wins! I’ve only won this puzzle game once… sad but true.

Wacky Wordsearch – It’s just like any regular word search but this one is just so wacky.  And by wacky I mean you have five minutes to find all the words, go get ‘em!

50 States – Whether or not you can see Russia from your house, I would hope you know where all 50 States are located! If not, practice with one of Addictinggames.com most loved free online games!

Have A Sad Opposite Day!

It’s Opposite Day

Opposite Day you say? The one day a year you can tell your parents that your homework is done even when it’s not. Its Opposite Day and when you say “Yes, I studied for my math test” you really mean “Nope, haven’t even opened the book!”. WOW! I’m already confused, this is the worst day ever (but it’s Opposite Day so really, it’s the best). Let’s talk opposites shall we?

Fire Boy and Water Girl – Fire and water? These two could not be more opposite but this boy and girl are besties and they like to stick together. Fire Boy needs to avoid the water and Water Girl needs to avoid the fire but they both need to get through each level together.

Big and Small – Sometimes you need to be big and sometimes you need to be small. But whether big or be small most important is to be one with nature in this zen-tastic game. Become your opposite and change your size to complete the task of awakening the lotus flower. Namaste.

Deconstruction – When you think of building something the last thing you want to do it watch it tumble, unless it’s Opposite Day. Place the bombs in all the right places to topple the structure and watch it go boom!

I’m not saying we started this whole pet dress up phenomenon that seems to be sweeping the globe, but we have perfected it and given this interesting act it’s own national holiday. Summer in December!

Remember summer? Me neither! As some of you sit in the cold wonderment of a White-out I wanted to remind you that the nip in the air will not last forever.
